They add more dynamism and tactical considerations to an already strategic shooter. In one match, we get knocked down near one of these cannons and manage to crawl inside, firing ourselves over the map for a quick and safe revive. While flying through the air, you can alter your trajectory, fire your weapons, and even use abilities. Hop inside these and they pelt you across the landscape. Rather than being littered with redeploy balloons, this map has something new: gravity cannons. But that’s not the only way to get around.
It sounds like a lot, but you can get around in the Trident vehicle, which can also act as a jetski, allowing you to skirt the edges of the map across the water for fast rotations. It’s 15% larger than World’s Edge and is so vertically built that the highest explorable point reaches the altitude that the dropship flew at in previous maps. Storm Point is Apex Legends ’ biggest map so far – a sprawling tropical playground of dense forests and golden beaches.
